The Kentucky Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation (“KLEMF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of those who engage with our mission — honoring Kentucky’s fallen law enforcement officers and supporting their families. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information obtained through our website and event registration services, including the KLEMF Golf Tournament registration system.

Payment Processing
All online payment transactions are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you submit payment information through our registration forms, that data is transmitted directly to Stripe using industry-standard encryption. KLEMF does not store your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers.
Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.
For registrants who elect to pay by check or in person, we will collect your name and contact information to track payment status. This information is used solely for internal accounting and event coordination purposes.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own commercial use. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We work with trusted vendors who help us operate our website and deliver services (e.g., email delivery, payment processing). These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.
- Event Operations: Tournament logistics may require sharing relevant registration details (such as golfer names and team assignments) with venue staff or event coordinators.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of KLEMF, our users, or others.
- Organizational Transfers: In the event of a merger, consolidation, or transfer of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Email Communications
When you register for a KLEMF event, you will receive transactional emails related to your registration, including confirmation messages and event reminders. These communications are necessary to fulfill our service to you and are sent from info@klemf.org.
From time to time, we may also send you informational emails about upcoming KLEMF events, programs, or initiatives. You may opt out of non-transactional communications at any time by:
- Clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in any marketing email, or
- Contacting us directly at info@klemf.org
Please note that opting out of marketing communications will not affect your receipt of transactional emails directly related to an active registration.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. For event registrations, we typically retain records for a minimum of seven (7) years in accordance with standard nonprofit recordkeeping practices.
When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.

- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations
- Opt out of marketing communications
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 11. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All payment transactions are encrypted using SSL/TLS technology.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as Stripe’s payment portal or partner organization sites).
